Rapid Sequential Visual Presentation (RSVP) Study
Description:
The purpose of this study is to develop a computer display method that can facilitate reading in low vision patients. Participants of this study will read text passages that are presented one word or several words each time on a computer screen. At the end of each text presentation, a multiple-choice question will be presented to test reading comprehension. Forty to fifty short passages may be read in order to complete the study. The study, including a training session, may take two or three hours, and may be completed in more than one session.
Eligibility:
Participants of this study must be able to read high-school level English fluently and have to be 18 years of age or older. Participants with normal vision or with eye diseases are needed.
Compensation:
This study is not currently funded. Participants will work on a voluntary basis.
