We invite you to create a lasting legacy, alongside some of our most prominent supporters, by naming a seat in our newly renovated theater: The Academy Theater at Lighthouse International.
Thanks to the vision and generosity of Lighthouse Board member Charles S. Cohen and Clo Cohen, The Academy Theater at Lighthouse International has been completely renovated and handsomely redecorated.
In addition, through the generosity of our partner, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), the theater’s projection and sound systems have been upgraded to facilitate state-of-the-art digital cinema and presentations, as well as 35-mm 3-D projection.
A Destination Venue
The Lighthouse is the home base for the AMPAS East Coast membership office, and our theater is the venue for AMPAS screenings. Directors, producers, screenwriters, actors — all influential Academy members — frequently visit to screen the annual slate of Oscar®-nominated movies for their voting.
Create a Lasting Legacy
You’re invited to designate one or more of the new seats in the name of someone special — or in your own name. This is also a wonderful way to commemorate important occasions such as births, birthdays, weddings and milestone anniversaries.
We will pay tribute to the person(s) you name by engraving a plaque, embossing it in braille and applying it to the seatback(s) — for all to read — for many years to come.
