Rebecca graduated from Columbia University with two master’s degrees in public health and clinical social work. She completed her clinical social work training at the American Institute for Psychoanalysis. Rebecca provided counseling to both hearing and deaf clients at the Karen Horney Clinic, where she completed her post-graduate training. Currently, she works in private practice. Despite being diagnosed with Usher Syndrome Type III, a rare genetic disorder that will likely leave her deaf and blind in the next 10 years, Rebecca’s exuberance for life is infectious.
