The Mrs.Cecilia and Paul J. Schupf Invitational Symposium
The Mrs.Cecilia and Paul J. Schupf Invitational Symposium was held at Lighthouse International on November 29, 2006.
Since its inauguration in 1997, this annual education program has highlighted a vision-related topic of critical interest to the professional community. It has brought together leaders in the fields of ophthalmology, optometry, vision rehabilitation and research to explore the latest information about the range of interventions available for successful management of patients with vision loss - from treatment to rehabilitation.
The 2006 program featured a keynote talk by Donald D'Amico, MD, the newly installed Chair of Ophthalmology and Professor at Weill Cornell Medical Center, on "Diabetic Retinopathy: Advances in Pathophysiology, Drug Treatment and Vitreoretinal Surgery."
