Loupes
Loupes
clipped onto an eyeglass frame provide greater working distance
(measured from the front surface of the loupe) than that of a
comparable spectacle lens. Loupes may be for monocular or binocular
use, may attach to the user's eyeglasses, or be mounted on a headband.
Some loupes are designed to be flipped up out of the way when not in
use. Loupes are effective for specific tasks, such as filling an
insulin syringe, and may be helpful when a person's vision is
fluctuating.
