LV05: Consultations on Low Vision Practice Management
We offer three levels of customized consultation to help you integrate low vision care into your practice and explore how best to offer these needed services to your patients:
Level 1: Exploratory Consultation
The basic components necessary for establishing a low vision care capability
Consultation by appointment only: arrangements can be made as an add-on to other continuing education courses
Tuition: free
Level 2: Equipment Consultation
The equipment best suited to your practice needs and budget from a wide range of manufacturers
Consultation by appointment only: arrangements can be made as an add-on to other continuing education courses
Tuition: $100; free with attendance at a Lighthouse continuing education course
Level 3: Customized Service Planning
The elements necessary to incorporate low vision care into your practice setting, including: equipment for testing, loan and dispensing; staffing and education; facilities, forms and resources
Consultation by appointment only: arrangements can be made as an add-on to other continuing education courses
Special features: you will receive a written report with specific recommendations for your service
Tuition: $250 for consultation and report; additional consultation fees may apply

OBS01: Observership
By special arrangement, ophthalmologists and optometrists from the US and abroad can arrange to spend time at Lighthouse International in a specially designed program that combines coursework with opportunities to observe low vision clinical staff.
WK01: Advanced Clinical Module for Optometrists and Ophthalmologists
Optometrists and ophthalmologists who have already taken approved low vision coursework can apply for this interactive, intensive one- to three-day session to gain hands-on, supervised practice with the components of the low vision examination procedure. Take your practice of low vision to the next level.
INT01: Field Placements, Internships and Rotations
Lighthouse International welcomes professionals in training from a variety of disciplines. Field placements for students in Social Work, Vision Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy and Optometry; and rotations for Residents in Ophthalmology, are available as space allows.
