Lighthouse International is a worldwide leader in vision rehabilitation, education, research, prevention and advocacy. Our work is made possible by the generosity of forward-thinking contributors who extend the visionary philanthropy of the Lighthouse founders Winifred and Edith Holt. Today, The Holt Society consists of generous and committed planned giving supporters.
What is a Planned Gift?
A planned gift can have a lasting impact on someone's life! There are five ways to contribute to Lighthouse International’s planning giving – Gifts Under Will, Gifts From a Trust, Gifts of Life Insurance or IRA, Charitable Gift Annuity, Gifts of Stock, and Naming Opportunities. Please review these choices to determine which category is best for you or your loved one.
For more information about planned giving, contact Annette Dorsky at email@example.com or (212) 821-9443.

Time is Running Out but You Can Still Make a Charitable Gift to Lighthouse From Your IRA Through December 31st
On January 2, 2013, Congress enacted the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012. The Act extended for 2013 the ability of a person who is older than 70 1/2 years to make a direct contribution of up to $100,000 to charity from the person’s Individual Retirement Account (IRA), without the contribution being included in the person’s income. The amount you contribute is also counted towards your required minimum distribution (RMD) for 2013.
This legislation may not be extended for 2014. For more information about making a gift before December 31st directly from your IRA Account to Lighthouse International, contact Annette Dorsky at firstname.lastname@example.org or (212) 821-9443.
