Vision loss is taking an enormous toll in the U.S. and around the world. 161 million people worldwide have a vision impairment and without intervention the number will almost double by 2020. Of the 161 million people, 37 million are blind and 124 million have low vision. How can we battle this growing problem? YOU CAN HELP!
By speaking in one voice we can raise the level of awareness and increase the focus on low vision and blindness, prevent occurrences of blindness when possible, and provide a robust network of services that will meet the increased demands of tomorrow.
