New York Singer/Songwriter Will Perform Popular Songs, Jazz And Original Compositions In Free Concert To Mark World Sight Day
WHAT: Lighthouse International's Filomen M. D'Agostino Greenberg Music School presents a special Catherine Kramer Concert-Influences and Inspirations-- to mark World Sight Day. Featuring original, popular tunes and jazz standards by the acclaimed musician Slau, the performance explores styles and musicians who influenced his songwriting.
Slau is a New York City-based singer/songwriter and producer. A multi-instrumentalist, he has performed with various folk ensembles and dance bands. His reputation as a versatile musician led to an early career as a session musician for television scores as well as commercial jingles and underscores.
His songwriting has been recognized by Musician Magazine where he was a semi-finalist in the Best Unsigned Band Contest and the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) Songwriters Workshop. He has been a featured performer at the Songwriters Hall of Fame Showcase and a regular contributor to the New York City Songwriters Circle and The Bitter End.
