Lighthouse International To Hold 5th Annual Golf & Tennis Classic And Dinner At Old Oaks Country Club

May 8, 2007 - New York, NY - Lighthouse International's Golf & Tennis Classic and Dinner will take place on Monday, June 25, 2007 at Old Oaks Country Club in Purchase, N.Y. from 9:30 am - 8 pm. Now in its 5th year, the event is expected to attract more than 100 golf and tennis enthusiasts with all proceeds supporting Lighthouse International's mission of helping people of all ages overcome the challenges of vision loss. Expected guests include Matt Lauer, Bryant Gumbel, Maurice DuBois and veteran blind golfer Sam Huhn. Eugene F. Conroy, President of Community Housing and Management Corp. and Nadine S. Schramm, President and CEO of theatrical trucking company Budd Enterprises & Budd Leasing Ltd. are being honored for their great commitment to enhancing the lives of others.
In addition to offering spectacular golf courses and tennis courts, the event will feature a $100,000 Hole-in-One contest, brunch, cocktails, a buffet dinner and a silent auction featuring a private Cognac tasting in France, roundtrip airfare from London to New York, dinner for two at Jean Georges, and autographed memorabilia from professional golfer Tom Pernice and hockey great John Davidson. The benefit is Co-chaired by Stephen A. Vogel and Joel B. Mounty. According to Mady Schuman, Senior Vice President of Development, "The Golf and Tennis Classic and Dinner will be a wonderful opportunity to play at renowned and challenging golf courses, enjoy a terrific event and support Lighthouse International's mission to help all people with vision impairment live productive and independent lives."

Individual registration is $850 for Golf tickets and $450 for Tennis. Teams of four can register to play at a discounted $3,250. In addition, Cocktails and Dinner only tickets are available at $250 each. There are also many levels of sponsorship opportunities. Rates include golf or tennis fees, golf carts and caddie assignments, pro shop and much more. All proceeds benefit Lighthouse International.
