The following coverage is available to employees, dependents, and domestic partners.
The benefits provided under our medical plan are hospitalization, physician and specialist office visits, and prescription coverage.
The dental benefits provide coverage for preventative care, basic services such as fillings, and major services such as crowns.
Employees can get an annual eye exam at a participating provider. The coverage also includes annual renewal of lenses, frames, or contact lenses.
Employees receive life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
A 401(k) retirement plan is provided. This plan provides an opportunity to increase retirement benefits through personal savings, tax deferrals and employee and employer contributions.
Flexible Spending (FSA)
Employees can elect each year to set aside pre-tax dollars into a medical reimbursement or dependent care account. This can help to pay for out-of-pocket expenses such as medical co-pays, deductibles, coinsurance, and day care.
Transit & Parking Program
Employees can set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for transportation and parking expenses for work. The monthly pre-tax amount allowed is set by the IRS. Employees receive a debt card to purchase your Metrocards, LI Railroad, Metro North, or NJ transit tickets.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
This service is free to employees who need resources for everyday challenges at work and home as well as more serious issues involving emotional and physical well-being. Services include childcare/eldercare, legal consultations, financial planning, stress management and more.
Employees enrolled in the Lighthouse medical plan can access advocacy services through Health Advocate at no cost. This service gives employees and family members a resource for getting assistance with complex medical issues and helps to identify top providers who specialty is related to the same medical issue. They will also help sort and solve claim issues directly with the provider and assist with transferring medical records from one provider to another.
